Vetuta Ciurar – Educational Pathways

This research explores why some Roma individuals continue education while others drop out. Based on 24 testimonials, it shows that school dropout is mainly caused by economic hardship, family responsibilities and social conditions, rather than lack of motivation.

Individual and group research projects, mentoring and coaching, public presentations and discussions, and participation in events such as the Roma Platform.

The programme contributes to building a new generation of Roma leaders who are capable of representing their communities and contributing to inclusive policies.

Overview

The project supports the development of a structured coalition that enables Roma and pro-Roma actors to collaborate effectively, share resources and strengthen their collective voice.

Objectives

Facilitate coordination between organisations, develop shared capacity and tools, raise awareness and build public support, and launch a joint campaign for Roma rights.

Coalition meetings and working groups, micro-project grants to member organisations, shared communications and a public campaign, and joint events and advocacy.
